What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is an amazing tool that is used to help you get to the core of your issues and heal them at the deepest levels possible. The type of hypnosis I work with is not your average hypnosis, it works on many levels including  the subconscious, energetic and spiritual levels (most hypnosis is only targeted to work with the subconscious mind). Through hypnosis you are able to access your subconscious mind where all your emotions, beliefs, and behaviours are stored and heal and upgrade them so that you feel and behave the way you want to. Your subconscious is the part of your mind that runs on autopilot, meaning you’re not consciously thinking about it. For example,  when you you ride a bike or drive a car, you’re doing it at the subconscious level, you don’t need to think about how to do it. Through hypnosis you are also able to release energy that you’ve taken on from others and the external world and deeply connect to your spiritual self and get guidance when needed.

What does Hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that we go in and out of throughout the day, some examples are when you’re zoning out watching tv, falling asleep or meditating. Basically, your mind and body might be more relaxed but you can hear what is going on around you. You are not asleep when you’re in a state of hypnosis and will most likely remember most of what took place just like you would with a conversation. You don’t need to be in a deeply relaxed state for hypnosis to take place, it can be as simple as just closing your eyes. Some people feel deeply relaxed in hypnosis where others report that they just feel like they’re lying there and can hear me talking. Throughout the session you are 100% in control, and you cannot be made to do or say anything you do not want to. Most people find the experience very relaxing and enjoyable and want more!

My approach to hypnotherapy:

My main focus is to help you get to the core of your issue and to heal it and release any disempowering beliefs, emotional states and energy that have been taken on in your life. The emotions, reactions and behaviours that we have as adults is a product of both our past experiences and the collective consciousness as we take on energy from others. Underneath any mental health issue/diagnosis is all the same thing a you that is dying to be healed, loved and set free from pain, hurt and negative energy. Through hypnosis we will go on a journey into your life’s timeline and heal and release what needs to be released, making remarkable changes to your life. You’ll be surprised how easy it is and how much change can happen in as little as one session!

 

How many sessions will I need?

I take a session by session approach where we assess your progress and you feel whether you need another or more sessions to heal the issue. Some issues can be healed in as little as one to three sessions. For example specific fears or anxieties can be treated this quickly. Please note that results vary from person to person because everybody is different and issues can have more levels to them than meets the eye.

 

What to expect in a session?

We will start by having a chat about what it is you’re ready to change and do some counselling around this. If appropriate I will teach you strategies to help you in your daily life. Once I’ve gathered enough back ground information we will end the session with hypnosis, this usually takes up the largest portion of the session.

 

Why does hypnotherapy cost more than counselling?

With hypnosis you can make profound changes quickly, for example, some issues can be healed with in one to three sessions. Where the same issue may take months or years to be fully healed using counselling. Hypnotherapy sessions are longer too. My sessions usually go for around 2.5 hours.

Can hypnotherapy be done online?

Yes! All you need is your mind and my voice and skills. I just get you to lie down or sit in a comfy chair and have you position your screen so I can see your face. Results are the same as in person therapy.
