Hypnotherapy is therapy done under hypnosis; it is a highly effective and efficient way to make positive changes because it works with the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the deeper part of the mind, which holds our beliefs, habits, patterns of behaviour and memories. We often do things on autopilot, without consciously thinking about it, this is because behaviours are deeply ingrained in the subconscious. For example have you ever driven your car from A to B and when you’ve gotten to B thought to yourself, “I don’t remember driving here?" That is because once driving is learned and repeated it becomes an automatic process that is stored at the subconscious level. So your subconscious is actually who does the driving. This goes for any behaviour, habit, or response that you have not consciously thought about.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that we go in and out of regularly throughout the day. When you are absorbed and focused in a task e.g., reading a book or watching television you are in a trance state just like hypnosis. Hypnosis is reached by relaxing the body and focusing your attention, this is done with specific imagery and relaxation techniques, which the therapist guides you through. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, you are 100% in control, and you cannot be made to do or say anything you do not want to. Most people find the experience very relaxing and enjoyable and want more!

Therapy and hypnosis is just as effective done via Skype and many find it more convenient and comfortable. All you need is a computer with a good camera and a good wifi connection.
